Plainridge Racecourse Parking Garage Erection Complete
Blakeslee Prestress Inc. has finished erecting the precast on the Plainridge Racecourse Parking Garage. The structure was “topped off” with the final precast concrete piece on January 9, 2013.

Parking Garage Proceeds On Time
Blakeslee Prestress Inc. has begun the precast concrete erection on the 3-level Plainridge Racecourse Parking Garage. To date the Northwest corner of the parking structure with the elevator shafts and stair tower is up. The precast erection process is on schedule and proceeding as planned with completion scheduled for late December 2012.

The 296,754 sq.ft. (supported structured area) facility is scheduled for occupancy July 2013 when patrons will begin enjoying the added convenience that the parking garage will add. The timeline would be almost 1,000 parking spaces added in 10 months from start to finish with most of the work being done during the racing season slow time.

JCJ Architecture of Hartford, Connecticut, is the projects architect. Desman Associates of Rocky Hill, Connecticut is the project’s engineer and Currie Building Systems, Inc. of Worcester Massachusetts is the general contractor.
